Your mission is to find the rest of the trail and crack the code. If you can’t solve it today, don’t panic. Tomorrow we’ll drop another clue. (And yeah, it’s still going to be brutal). If it’s still too hard for you all - then we’ll unleash some serious help. First to Slack Jimmy the correct code wins the cash. May the smartest player win.
There's a lot of people for whom puzzle hunts are second nature, but many of you are new to this kind of thing.
Because of that, we see people finding and solving many of the puzzles, but also lots of other people wondering how to make more progress.
MAR 3
WE THINK YOU'VE GOT THIS
We've seen some Final Answers that give us strong hope that someone will get through our Million Dollar Puzzle.
We made it really difficult.
You're showing you can take on that challenge and take it down.
It's really fun to watch.
Here's HINT #23:
This is where we step back.
Anything more from us would basically hand it to you.
Work with what you’ve gathered, trust your instincts, and keep sending those brilliant guesses.
MAR 2
QUITE THE WEEKEND
We got bombarded with guesses over the weekend and this morning.
We're checking all of them.
Remember: Until you hear from us, anyone who tells you they won is not telling the truth.
This is HINT #22:
The vault is a combination lock.
Letters and numbers will tell you how to open it.
You can put together a Final Answer that doesn't have a vault combination as part of it.
But it won't be right.
MAR 1
IT'S MARCH!
A lot of people thought this hunt would end in February.
Especially those of you who submitted very interesting answers yesterday.
Some of you are very far away from the right answer.
Some of you are very, very close.
Time for HINT #21:
People solve puzzles to relax, like reading a good book series.
But reading a book series can be a daunting task.
Especially when every book seems to get longer.
The second book always seems twice if not three times as long as the first.
When you write your report for this trip, think of it like a series.
A good first story is worth the longer followup.
FEB 28
OH SO CLOSE
We've gotten thousands of Final Answer submissions in the last 48 hours.
But no winners ... yet.
This is HINT #20:
If you're not getting the result you want, take a different view of things.
It's like whenever you meet someone for the first time, someone you think is going to be important, you want to remember the entire moment and lock in its details.
Those are the memories we treasure.
FEB 27
FASCINATING DEVELOPMENTS WE CAN'T TELL YOU ABOUT
We can see all the submissions of Puzzle Cards and Final Answers.
There have been a lot of them in the last 48 hours.
Some of them are fascinating.
That's all we can say about it.
Here's HINT #19:
We see lots of itineraries being followed.
We don't want to interfere with you getting to your destination.
So no hints today.
FEB 26
THINGS COME INTO FOCUS
As players tear apart the end stages of the hunt, there's a lot of conversation about which places this game focuses on.
As of our latest update to Beastbot, it will tell you what continent each puzzle's answer sits on.
That only works if you create a Puzzle Card for a puzzle and describe it in such a way that Slackbot understands what puzzle you're describing.
Tell Slackbot what you know, and Slackbot will help you pinpoint your answers.
And if you think you have a final answer, you should make sure you think it's right.
Now for HINT #18:
Trips by Car, Trips by Horse, and Trips by Plane require different puzzle-solving skills.
We separated them into those groups for a reason, and put those groups in that order for a reason.
You can do that too.
Try doing one set at a time and you'll narrow down your options.
Then you might see something you haven't seen yet.
FEB 25
WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING, DO MORE OF THAT
If you think you're doing the thing you need to do to win the million, we have good news for you:
Other people think you're doing the right thing too!
That means you have competition.
And they want a million dollars too.
Time for HINT #17:
Yesterday we put Trips by Roamy up on Beast Travel.
Trips by Roamy isn't a puzzle.
It's a tool to organize your thoughts.
It has groups of three blanks that you must fill in with information you've already gathered.
No new information is required.
The entries follow a very specific pattern, which we've reinforced today.
Also, there's an example at the top of the page. Here's some more about it.
Consider it part of your solution.
You won't need to use the first part of it again, or the middle, but the last part shows up one more time in the list.
FEB 24
EVERYTHING EXCEPT THAT ONE THING
Jimmy likes the number 100.
So, we put 100 puzzles in the hunt.*
As of last night, we now have seen all 100 of those puzzles solved.
Except... there's one more.
The one that gets you a million dollars.
That has not been solved.
But we imagine some people are close.
Maybe one of them is you.
*Though one of them had a million puzzles in it.
Here is HINT #16:
Beast Travel is now offering excursions in our Trips by Roamy program.
Book your itineraries today.
You might become our most celebrated world traveler.
FEB 23
TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT
No one has submitted a winning entry yet.
You can still win a million dollars.
But you should take your best shot.
We see a lot of people circling around the correct answers.
Nobody with the complete picture.
But maybe soon.
Now for HINT #15:
There are two major things that we don't think anyone has solved.
One is the big thing to do with all the location names.
We'll have more to say about that later.
The other is the puzzle with a million Sudoku.
That produces a stage one answer.
There are 25 carefully-designed Sudoku numbered 000001 to 000025.
Each has a different encryption based on what its numbers do.
For each, you need to solve some Sudoku in that puzzle's sequence. When you solve them as a Sudoku solver, you'll see a pattern about that puzzle which helps crack that part of the code.
Find each one, then think of what to do with what's isolated in each of the original puzzles.
But that's not the only interesting thing about the original puzzles.
You need the total of every isolated detail in each of them to crack this.
A few more trusted Sudoku are at the place mentioned on your Puzzle Card.
Check them out. And then enjoy solving them.
FEB 22
WE SEE YOU GETTING CLOSE
We're seeing interesting behavior in public forums.
People getting into small groups, sharing answers by DM, theorizing about the end steps.
That's really interesting to us.
If you've got theories, you can share them with us on Puzzle Cards.
We love seeing what's in your brains.
It's time for HINT #14:
You may have gotten a hint from Trips by Boat.
That's an important one. You will probably need that.
And one other.
There's another instruction in the captions of the Trip pictures.
Find that instruction and you'll have a clear route to the million.
FEB 21
EVERYTHING'S OUT
We said this hunt could be solved on day one, and that's true.
But it would have been a lot harder then.
All the clues we've provided have given you a much fuller picture of the world.
Now you have the opportunity to chart a path to the million.
Here's HINT #13:
We've seen quite a few solutions to every puzzle in the hunt.
Except one.
A computer screen gave you a lot of the same type of logic puzzle.
Like, a whole bunch.
But those of you solving alone have been limited in your ability to see more than one.
No more.
Check your Puzzle Card for this puzzle.
It'll give you quite the assortment of options.
FEB 20
JUST ONE MORE THING
You now have 51 puzzles with answers of a specific types from stage 1 and 40 puzzles of that type from stage 2.
Those are all the answers of that type that you get.
After that, we've given you one final thing.
A Major HINT #12:
Beast Travel is now booking travel by boat.
That's where you can assemble your entire itinerary.
Work together.
Draw up a plan.
And you'll get where you're going.
There's a million dollars at the end.
Oh, also, you should watch Hello Puzzlers' "Decoding the MrBeast Puzzle" livestream today at 6 pm Eastern/3 pm Pacific here.
FEB 19
MORE PUZZLE CARDS
It did not occur to us that you would want more than 200 Puzzle Cards apiece.
Some of you blew through that number.
So now you get 500 Puzzle Cards apiece.
You're welcome.
Now For HINT #11:
We see you all are booking trips from our new travel agency, Beast Travel.
You can take trips by car, by horse, and by plane.
Those trips by car can be challenging to narrow down.
You should take them literally.
When you get a city nickname, you don't need any extra words or inferences.
Just find a place that uses that exact nickname (not the phrase as its name or translation).
Then you'll get to your destination.
See you there.
FEB 18
YOU'RE CLOSING IN
We're looking at the Puzzle Cards and seeing a lot of progress show up in the last day.
We think nobody's got the complete picture on stage 1, but a bunch of you have a very strong handle on it.
Many of you are making great strides on stage 2's Beast Travel site.
So much that you're swiftly meeting the criteria for even more of it.
But we want to say one thing, because we've seen it a lot.
No one who says they've won is telling you the truth.
Here Comes HINT #10:
There are more things that aren't puzzles than there are things that are puzzles.
Either they came up randomly or sent you down paths we never imagined.
We don't want you to lose focus.
These things are distractions. They are not puzzles:
Those four clocks.
Mike's bat shirt.
That tank insignia that looks like a bar code.
Random anagrams.
Any X or YouTube account that has popped up since this hunt started.
The word "hopscotch."
Any other Roamy you might ever come across.
And, of course, Red Herring Bank. Because, you see, it's a red herring.
FEB 17
BEAST TRAVEL IS LAUNCHING A LOYALTY PROGRAM
When you solve puzzles, we give you puzzles.
Beast Travel is no exception.
Feel good you're making progress on stage 2. You're in it.
More today, likely more tomorrow, if you keep at it.
Because Roamy the Globe cares.
Time for HINT #9:
Speaking of the number 9, we said there were 9 puzzles on this site or social posts from Salesforce properties.
These are not connected to the commercials or these hints. They're in these places:
4 are in Behind the Scenes videos. 2 of those are underwater. 1 is in pieces. 1 never forgets.
3 are on large physical objects. You can see them on Salesforce's X feed. 1 may take a while to watch.
2 are on this site. 1 is in a helpful video. The other follows our advice.
If you haven't found those, find those.
FEB 16
WELCOME TO STAGE 2
Because you're giving us your guesses in your puzzle cards, we now see you are ready for stage 2.
Some of you are making considerable headway in this Million Dollar Puzzle.
Things are cracking all over the place. Good job.
Now, we introduce you to Stage 2.
It'll be populated by the progress you share with Slackbot.
Keep it up.
Here is HINT #8:
Take your 50 locations and your crossword to Beast Travel and go on many a wild vacation!
The world is at your fingertips!
Adventure is out there!
If you're ready to check in, then your endgame is near.
FEB 15
PUZZLES ARE COMMUNITY EFFORTS
A lot of our puzzles are easy to find.
Others are quite hidden.
If you're looking at a thing you think is a puzzle, but can't find what you're looking for, you should ask a friend.
Beastbot may know, but also some of your fellow humans do.
And for certain puzzles, you need a few more.
This is HINT #7:
One clue tells you to inquire with Slackbot about a specific kind of number puzzle.
If you do that in a Puzzle Card, you'll get a place to look.
But you'll always get the same one.
You need friends for this puzzle.
Maybe a million of them.
FEB 14
IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY. HERE'S A TOKEN OF OUR LOVE.
We've enjoyed seeing your guesses on your puzzle cards.
If you're creating them, thanks! It'll be worth your effort.
If you’re not, please do! It is a key to what happens next.
Here's HINT #6:
We are pleased to announce that all the clues for stage 1 are out.
You probably want to know which ones you're missing.
It's Valentine's Day, so as a gift from us, here's a list that might help.
Players have found:
- The 9 stage 0 puzzles on the playlist. (These answers do not match the others. IYKYK.)
- The 1 puzzle that sets up the playlist.
- The 12 puzzles contained entirely in Sunday's commercial.
- The 12 puzzles in the bank video. Each goes with one of the screens in the commercial.
- The 10 gifts given out to our friends.
- The 1 puzzle that unites them.
- The 2 puzzles on YouTube and TikTok shorts that aren't related to the gifts.
- The 9 puzzles you'll find on this site or social posts from Salesforce properties.
- The 3 puzzles on Lone Shark's socials.
- And, of course, 1 crossword puzzle, which also sets up stage 2.
Happy Valentine's Day!
This hint was updated on February 15.
FEB 13
IT'S FRIDAY THE 13TH AND WE WANT YOUR ANSWERS
Slackbot is humming along nicely.
We've had hundreds of thousands of players hit the site and begin conversations. It's been cool.
We think you folks are about ready for the next stage to start.
But we don't know that.
Here's how you can let us know.
Create a Puzzle Card for every puzzle you think you've already solved.
Put in an answer and start a conversation with Slackbot in that card.
That'll tell us what you're aware of and what you're not.
Then we'll know what to send your way.
Time for HINT #5:
If you want to keep up with MrBeast, Salesforce, and Lone Shark Games, find our social pages.
We like putting clues in what we talk about there.
You might like to find our companies' social pages.
But only if you want to win a million dollars.
Feb 12
Now you have a new friend
We have seen hundreds of thousands of players in groups all over the internet trying to solve this puzzle.
Over 500,000 answers have been slacked to Jimmy, but no one has won the million dollars.
So it's time we brought out some bigger help:
Your custom Slackbot is live.
Register and log in to meet your new puzzle buddy.
Time for HINT #4:
This special version of Slackbot can help you with general puzzle knowledge and information about how to play the game.
Puzzle cards have additional support from Beastbot that can give you more specific hints and support on things you find you think are a puzzle.
If you have questions about puzzle cards, check the new HOW TO PLAY and QUESTIONS pages or ask Slackbot.
But the key here is:
Puzzle cards are key to using Slackbot for help.
Feb 11
Want some indication of progress?
On Reddit, Slack, Discord, and anywhere else public that you've been working, we've been checking in on everything you've solved.
We've seen a whole lot of stuff get crushed by giant groups of solvers.
So it's time to start adjusting what you can see.
Here's HINT #3:
We've told you about some of the main parts of this first stage:
Sunday's commercial and the bank video. You also know about the video playlist.
As you've probably started to see, the 9 playlist puzzles (what we call Stage 0) told you that all the puzzle answers in stage 1 are all of a certain type.
Keep that in mind: If you found a puzzle and your answer is not of that type, then you're not done with that puzzle.
Now we want to tell you about more:
The first place you should be looking is obviously this site, the Inside the Beast video, and our social posts. If you find one, you can put it online so others can see.
The second place is a group of gifts that Jimmy gave a number of his friends. Most of them look like this. You might find a poster of who got a gift somewhere.
The gifts all have answers of the same type as every other puzzle in stage one. But here's a thing:
All of their answers can be used to get another answer. You just have to figure out how.
Those are all the parts of stage 1.
Together they account for 50 puzzles.
50 answers of the same type.
But there's one other puzzle many of you already have: a crossword. That has a 51st clue of this type.
And it's starting to get a lot different.
Take another look at it.
Feb 10
You guys are making tremendous progress!
We'll summarize what we are seeing so far, though of course a lot of it is happening in places we can't see (aka we have heard of tons of discords and slack groups and group chats). Which is great! Solve publicly or privately, it's up to you!
Many of you have already figured out - this hunt has 3 main hubs in this first stage (yes there's stages - like rooms in the vault, but more on that another day).
Hub 1 is the video playlist.
We've seen tens of thousands of solutions to those puzzles and the overall message there. Are you making progress on it? If not, hit up a solving group on Slack, Discord, Reddit, or somewhere else and we expect people will bring you up to speed.
Hub 2 is the commercial that aired on Sunday.
We've seen many, many solutions to some of the puzzles there, but a number of the puzzles are eluding folks. This is where finding friends can help you a lot.
Hub 3 is the bank.
A lot of people are stuck on the puzzles in that, and for good reason. They're only solvable if you use an element of the other major video, which we'll talk about in today's hint below.
There are at least two more stages, and we can't say much about them yet. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe.
Okay, Here's HINT #2:
Here's a hint about the bank. Some of you have already figured this out.
The video in the bank was released before the Big Game. We didn't want anything solved before that point.
So we made the bank video clues extra hard in a very specific way:
We tied each screen in the Salesforce computer lab to one clue in the bank video.
Which screen goes with which clue ... that's up to you to figure out.
Each is used only once, so once you tie a screen to a bank video clue, you won't use it for any other clue.
Oh, there's one other thing we want to tell you about today.
In one of the Behind the Scenes videos, you might have seen puzzlemaster Mike drop a crossword puzzle. That crossword is here and was a gift to Jimmy. That crossword might also be a key to STAGE 2. Maybe you can find it out there. or maybe you can zoom in.
Either way, it doesn't have any clues ... yet.
The more progress you make, the more the clues will fill in. You'll need those for the endgame.
OK, that's it for today. Happy puzzling!
Feb 9
This Isn't Easy
There's a lot of people for whom puzzle hunts are second nature, but many of you are new to this kind of thing.
Because of that, we see people finding and solving many of the puzzles, but also lots of other people wondering how to make more progress.
We have some suggestions to help even it out:
- First, you should work together. We never said you had to do this alone.
- Only one person can claim the prize, but it's probably not possible for one person to find and solve everything.
- So, join puzzle Slack groups, Discord groups, and subreddits where you can catalogue everything that you find.
- Start a wiki, where you list potential puzzles and possible paths and solutions.
- Draw on all the world's resources.
- Nobody's got a million dollars yet, so there's still time to catch up.
- Find friends and share.
Now, Here's HINT #1:
Some of these puzzles use codes you can find online.
With the Super Bowl ad, almost everything Jimmy passes by is a clue. Look up, down, forward, backward, and behind the scenes. Figure out how to get an answer from each weird thing.
In the bank, the same is true, but you will need specific content from the Super Bowl ad to solve anything there.
Last, but not least, if you found the video playlist's pinned comments, each puzzle ends in a word that makes part of a 9-word clue, in order.
The word lengths are 5, 9, 5, 7, 8, 4, 9, 6, and 5.
That will help define the nature of the search.
If you can get that 9-word clue, you'll take the first step on your journey.
There is a direct way through this ultra-hard puzzle hunt.
You can find it.
Then you can win a million dollars!
Good luck!
